4 generations of Delgado leadership
1ST GENERATION: DR. JOSE MARIA DELGADOChairman: Delgado Brothers Hotel Corporation
A graduate of the Ateneo de Manila University and University of Santo Tomas, he graduated Magna Cum Laude as a Doctor in Medicine and Surgery. During the course of his life he would become the first ambassador of the philippines to the vatican and then a Grand Knight for the Council 1900 of the Knights of Columbus, which he founded. He was a man who held his country in high regard, as in his common phrase “I have three loves in this life, God, Country and Culture,” the same spirit he passed on to his descendants.
2ND GENERATION: ANTONIO C. DELGADOFounder/Chairman: Delgado Brothers Incorporated
An innovative businessman, Antonio brought many developments to the Philippines; most notable of which was the caltex floating station, adapted from leftover war boats, that delivered supplies to ships waiting in the harbor, which was the first of its kind in the world. He first established acd, inc. in 1947 and Delgado brothers, Inc. (Delbros) in 1949 after which a whole range of businesses followed in several industries such as logistics, brokerage and hotels. Eventually, he became the Philippine Ambassador to the Vatican alongside his passion for the Boy Scouts where he became the first Asian Chairman of the world committee.
3RD GENERATION: JOSE EDUARDO DELGADOPresident and CEO: Delgado Brothers Incorporated
Most of his student years were spent in the United States at the Portsmouth Abbey School in Rhode Island then at the University of Pennsylvania. He later returned to his homeland the Philippines to the family owned international corporation, Delgado Brothers (Delbros). He became the Executive Vice-President for ACD Inc., managed the portfolio and real estate of the company, and finally became the President and CEO of Delbros Inc. His virtuosity in business has led to the ongoing success and growth of the company.
