Delbros and Delwater join re-greening of Intramuros

JOSE PAOLO DELGADO (JPD), Board Member of Delbros Incorporated (DELBROS) and President of the BHI Group of Companies, led a contingent from DELBROS, Delbros Waterfront Leasing Co., Inc. (DELWATER), and the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) in joining more than 400 volunteers who planted a total of 550 trees across the famed Walled City of Intramuros on January 10, 2009.
Two senior managers of DELWATER, Ray Narvaez and Gig Hagad, also took part in the event.
The Intramuros tree-planting is a joint undertaking between the Rotary Club of Makati West, the Intramuros Administration, and Lifestyle Asia Magazine. DELBROS and DELWATER sent volunteers and donated trees for this event.
The volunteers who participated in the tree-planting event included Boy Scouts, businessmen, generals, school teachers, and students.
BSP sent the biggest contingent of about 370 volunteers. The January 10 tree planting event is in line with the “Go Green! Go for the Real Thing!” project of BSP and Coca-Cola.
The main proponents of the Intramuros Tree Planting Event were: Mayor Alfredo Lim, City Mayor of Manila; Bobby Lim, President of The Rotary Club of Makati West; Anna Sobrepena, Editor in Chief of Lifestyle Asia Magazine; Bambi Harper, Director of The Intramuros Administration; Jose Paolo Delgado, Boy Scouts of The Philippines and DELBROS; Paolo Conconi, Project Oikos.
A Boy Scout and a Member of Rotary Club of Makati West, JPD has been asked to be part of the Project Oikos creative team. Project Oikos is comprised of entrepreneurs that focus on environmental projects in south east asia.
